I work out of Strasburg, and most of what I shoot is inside about forty minutes of here, which covers most of Lancaster County and reaches into Chester, Berks, York, and Lebanon. I go further than that pretty regularly, there is just a travel cost attached once we get past a certain distance, and I would rather tell you that now than surprise you on an invoice later.

Freedom Flooring's showroom, their warehouse, and an install in progress, plus the brand story film with Gary and Darwin Hurst.
Equipter builds the RB4000 and the Tow-A-Lift here, and we covered the factory floor and a real delivery in a single morning.
Star Quality builds here, and we followed the Scouten family across five filming days from the first sales call to the day the set went in.
The studio is here, and so is Beuta, the faux stone edging brand whose content crossed eleven million views.
A shoot forty minutes out is the same shoot as one down the road, it just means an earlier start and a little more planning around what the light is doing when we get there.
Past that, I will usually push to book a full day rather than a half, because it is better use of your money to get a full library out of the drive than to pay for me to sit in a truck twice.
Travel gets quoted as part of the project rather than buried inside it, so you will see what the drive costs before you agree to anything.
I have worked outside the county plenty of times and I will do it again. And if the drive does not make sense for what you actually need, I will tell you that instead of taking the job.
I have driven these roads for years, so I know what the light does at four in the afternoon behind a shop in Leola, and I know which install sites turn to mud after a rain.
Being close means I can come back. A follow-up shot, a second angle, a reshoot when the product changes, none of that turns into a whole new travel conversation.
And most of my clients around here already know each other. Word travels fast in this county, which is a pretty good reason to do the work right the first time.
