Families don't spend enough time together. And when they do, they're usually on a couch watching TV. That's the line Manny Fisher opens this film with, and it's the whole reason Fisher's Backyard Structures exists.

Fisher's is a family-owned Lancaster County company that designs, builds, delivers, and installs custom pavilions, pergolas, gazebos, and timber frame structures. Over seven years they've put up more than 5,000 of them for families who wanted their backyard to pull everyone outside instead of apart. That was the film we were asked to make. Not what Fisher's builds, but what a Fisher's structure makes possible.

The structures were the easy part. Fisher's already makes beautiful pavilions and timber frames. The harder job was naming what those structures actually do for the families who buy them.

Three things, specifically. The external problem: most backyards don't have a real gathering space, just grass and a grill. The internal problem: parents know they want more time with their kids, and they're not getting it. And the one nobody says out loud: a family that doesn't gather drifts apart, and a backyard worth coming home to can be one of the small forces that holds it together.

We built the film around those three layers. Manny speaks to each of them in his own words, and the shots stay grounded in real Fisher's structures on real properties. No actors, no over-produced narration, no overwritten script. Just the problem the company exists to solve, and the people actually solving it.

Before we shot anything, we had to land on the line the whole film would build around. We landed on Built to Last, Crafted for Memories.

Two words do most of the work. Last says what you'd expect from a structure: strong, well-built, worth the money. But memories reframes the purchase entirely. You're not buying a pavilion, you're buying the Saturday afternoons under it. That reframe is what turns a commodity into something families want to say yes to, and it's the reason that line runs underneath everything Fisher's now does.

Once we had the tagline, it became the filter every shot, every interview question, and every edit ran through.

The hero film runs about two and a half minutes. It opens with the problem families actually face, brings in Manny as the guide, shows what Fisher's does and why they do it, and closes on a clear invitation. From there, we cut down short-form pieces for YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, so the same story shows up in whatever format a prospect is already scrolling.
