DS Fabrication Photography
New photography for a Lancaster County fabrication shop, so their website and social media finally match the quality of their facility.
DS Fabrication is the metal fabrication side of DS, a family-owned company in Gordonville, PA that has been in business since 1978. They do laser cutting, forming, welding, robotic welding, and 3D design, and they handle everything from one-off prototypes to production runs in the thousands.
Their facility is impressive, but they didn't have current photos of their shop. The team told us themselves that the photos they had didn't reflect the business today. That's really common with shops like this. The team is busy doing the work, and nobody has time to stop and document it.
The problem is that customers judge a fabrication shop before they ever call. If the photos look dated, it's easy for someone to assume the shop is too, even when the opposite is true.
Companies that send work to a fabrication shop are trusting them with their parts, their deadlines, and their own customers. Most of them will never visit the shop in person, so the website and social media have to do that job for them.
When a buyer can see clean, modern equipment and a skilled team doing the work, it builds trust right away. When all they see is a few old phone photos, they move on to the next shop, even if that shop isn't as good.
That's why this project matters. DS already had the facility and the team. They needed photography that shows it, so new customers can trust them as quickly as their current customers already do.
We photographed the whole shop with the team working like they would on any normal day. We covered the engineering team working on 3D models, the laser, the Trumpf and Cincinnati press brakes, the hand forming stations, the welding floor, the robotic welding cell, and finished frames ready to ship.
We kept people in almost every shot. Equipment shows what a shop can do, but seeing the team at work is what shows a customer the job will be done right.
DS now has a full library of new photos they can use on their website, on social media, in sales emails, and in quotes. Instead of relying on photos that no longer reflected the business, they have current photos that show their facility the way it really is today.
The photos also work as an authority piece. When a potential customer is deciding between shops, DS can show them exactly what they're working with and who will be building their parts.
